  Hearing Test for Children

   A Guide to Speech-to-Text Services in the Postsecondary Environment is now available from MCPO.

The Midwest Center for Postsecondary Outreach has developed this guide to offer administrators, parents, students, and potential service providers an overview of the various speech-to-text service options available in post secondary environments to students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.

   New product to help schools in assessing accommodation needs for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This site provides information about accommodations frequently used by students who are deaf or hard of hearing in post secondary settings.

This site is the result of a collaborative effort between Northern Illinois University and the Midwest Center for Postsecondary Outreach. The target audience centers on Disabled Student Services (DSS) Coordinators. Students, families and faculty may find the information useful as well.

  New Online Edition of College and Career Programs for Deaf Students

Parents, teachers, counselors, and students can investigate the resources and information in the 11th edition of College and Career Programs for Deaf Students.

This book contains a comprehensive listing of over 100 programs that serve deaf and hard of hearing students at the post secondary level. It gives general descriptions of these programs, lists career areas of study, and shows what special services are provided. Read more at
