The Midwest Center for Postsecondary Outreach has developed this guide to offer administrators, parents, students, and potential service providers an overview of the various speech-to-text service options available in post secondary environments to students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. This site is the result of a collaborative effort between Northern Illinois University and the Midwest Center for Postsecondary Outreach. The target audience centers on Disabled Student Services (DSS) Coordinators. Students, families and faculty may find the information useful as well. Parents, teachers, counselors, and students can investigate the resources and information in the 11th edition of College and Career Programs for Deaf Students. This book contains a comprehensive listing of over 100 programs that serve deaf and hard of hearing students at the post secondary level. It gives general descriptions of these programs, lists career areas of study, and shows what special services are provided.
