Reality TV Show Seeks Cochlear Implant Candidate

ABC Television and MedMiracle Productions, Inc. have teamed up on "The Miracle Workers" - a new prime time series featuring renowned medical professionals utilizing cutting edge technology to change patients' lives.

Each week, the show will follow a single patient with a serious medical condition.

One episode will feature a person who needs a cochlear implant, but is unable to afford insurance coverage or the procedure.

ABC is working with the House Ear Institute to perform the surgery, and anticipates that the show will be filmed in the Los Angeles area.

ABC is seeking candidates with profound hearing loss, preferably people who are experiencing degeneration of the inner ear.

The individual who is selected for the show will receive a cochlear implant at no cost in return for their participation.
